Landscape Architect

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree (preferred) in landscape architecture or related field.
+/-5 years of relevant experience in a landscape architectural firm or multi-disciplinary office environment.
Licensed Landscape Architect.
Experience with a variety of project types including parks and open space, single and multi-family development, streetscapes, institutional, educational, and redevelopment.
Experience in the preparation of contract documents (knowledge of construction materials and methods, plant materials, irrigation design and cost estimation). Knowledge and proficiency in the development of technical specifications a plus.
Experience in construction administration including responding to contractor inquiries in written, graphic and verbal formats.
Experience managing projects including developing project schedules, and construction cost estimates at the planning, conceptual, schematic, and working drawing stages.
Experienced with communicating with Clients and associated professional disciplines.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet internal and external project deadlines.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite (experience rendering in Sketchup and Lumion a plus).

Additional Skills and Experience (desired, but not required):

Familiarity and experience with passive and active stormwater harvesting, green stormwater infrastructure, and xeriscape design principles.
Experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements for landscape and site plans in the City of Albuquerque, or related experience from other municipalities.
Commitment to mentoring new landscape designers into the profession.
Experience in the development and verbal delivery of presentations.
Site design, including but not limited to, circulation design, courtyard and pool environments, and site/drainage coordination.
Understanding and experience with urban design in the form of sketching and conceptual plan development.
Active participation in community organizations such as ASLA, Think Trees, Land and Water Summit or other organizations that contribute to our profession and social well-being.
Spanish language skills.

GIS Internship

Job Title: GIS Intern

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and skilled GIS Intern to grow our GIS team. The Intern will provide GIS support for planning and development projects as well as GIS services for local governments throughout the state. An ideal candidate will strive to understand our client’s GIS and mapping goals and utilize collaboration and teamwork paired with excellent technical skills to produce high quality mapping products.

Responsibilities:

Gather, analyze, and refine spatial data from various sources to produce complete, accurate, and high-quality datasets.
Produce detailed and accurate cartographic products including maps and mapping applications to meet the technical needs of our clients.
GIS analysis, including selections, SQL queries, and symbology.

Requirements:

Recently graduated or currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in geography, planning, or related field.
Relevant experience in GIS or multi-disciplinary environment.
Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online)
Experience with Mapping Application Development (ArcGIS Field Maps, Experience Builder, Instant Apps, Dashboards, or Story Maps)
Familiarity with various basic software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases)
Great time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects with competing or similar deadlines.

Additional Skills and Experience (desired, but not required):

Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise
Experience with Adobe InDesign
Knowledge of Python or other general purpose programming languages.

Schedule and Compensation: This position can be either full- or part-time, depending on the applicant’s needs, and with flexible hours based on project needs. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and skill level.
